Weekly Weakness: Sparkle and Shine

If you're like me, anything that has sparkle on it or is shine catches my eye and I MUST go look at it and touch it. It like I'm Dory from 'Finding Nemo'! With the upcoming holidays I feeling everything is had glitter, sparkle, is gold color and shiny it's driving me (happily) mad!

The One with the Floppy Hat

[Hat (similar here), Top, Jeans (similar here), Boots (similar here), Sunnies
The Floppy Hat is a Fall staple as of this year. I noticed it a bit last year but wasn't fully sold on it until this Fall when we actually moved to place with Fall weather. When I was shopping around, I noticed floppy hats can be pricey. I wasn't looking to spend more than $20.00 on a hat that I would wear a hand full of times and then have it sit on a shelf in my closet until next Fall.

'Cause I'm Free Falling

Fall is here! Or so it felt like it this past weekend. We woke up to quite the chill (lows in the 40's) but that chill quickly blew away and back to the 70's it went. It was a very big tease. I'm not much of the PSL type of girl but I do love CAS (Caramel Apple Spices) and as I sit hear writing this I am DYING for one.

August Top Three

If you've been around BIH long enough, you've seen me do some different things in regards to my "favorite things" each month. I use to like 10 items and then just called them my favorites but I have a lot of favorites, so I decided to do a "Top Three" favorites for the month. Hopefully in the coming months I will be able to do a more in depth video on things that I am loving that month.

Erin Condren Life Planner: I can't live without this planner. I'm totally not lying. This is the second year I have purchased an Erin Condren Life Planner and this year by far is the best. With upgrades and more choices, I was like a kid at christmas when I pre ordered by planner. I did a post about a year ago (you can find it here) on this planner. I think I need to do an update. If you are old fashion and very organized, like me, this is something that you really need in your life. I promise you won't regret it!

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Gloss: I love the chapstick version of this. And I someone (I think it was my girlfriend Claire) told me a couple months ago that they where coming out with a lip gloss version of the Baby Lips.  I nearly flipped. I searched for months and when they finally came out I could resist this #55 color. It adds a little pop of color on top of any lipstick. I wear this all the time over everything. I LOVE IT!

Sweater Weather Candle by Bath and Body Works: Can we please talk about how obsessed I am with these candles!?! And here is a secret - CJ is too, even though he doesn't like to admit it. Last weekend we stopped by our local Bath and Body and found out that a sale was going on and they where $12.00! So we picked out one that we both really liked and I remembered I had a coupon for an extra percentage off. Well it was an extra 40% off my order so we ended up with three candles and a candle holder for 22.00!! I died. But in all honesty these candles are amazing. Every year I get my good old faithfuls like Sweater Weather, Flannel and Autumn, but they ALWAYS blow me away when they come out with new flavors every year. Marshmallow Fireside and Apple Pumpkin Pancakes, I'm looking at you....

Summer's Last Hurrah

When I lived in Florida, summer never ended. I thought the whole rule of "No white after Labor Day" was a stupid rule for people who didn't live in the south. Tuesday I found myself staring into my closet and realized I love white and now the sinking feeling of the fact that I am a resident of the Mid-west. Sadly I packed up my sandals and moved my white dresses and other white pieces to the end of my closet.

Before we moved out of our condo in July, I had CJ shoot one last outfit for you guys. It turned out beautifully. I will always remember this windy evening and how my sister always made fun of me for always taking pictures in the middle of our street. It just seemed so raw and real to me.

I've had this blue tank and white jeans for a couple of seasons now and I love the combo. These two pieces will stay in my wardrobe for years to come. And the best part? I purchased them at GAP! So you know they are not expensive!

Welcome back and Life Lately!

Well hello everyone! It has been a hot second since I posted. And man, do I have a lot to share! I took a little summer break. Which was nice, but it really wasn't a break per say. I was up to my neck in stuff to do! So let's jump back in so I can update you on what's been going on!

In mid-July CJ was asked to interview for a possible position in Northern Indiana. This wasn't the first time we had talked about this position. Back in March we got a phone call regarding the interview. After much talking we decided that this could be a great opportunity for us and that he should go for the interview. So he went up, nailed it and the prep for our move began.

Thankfully our condo lease was up at the end of July and as soon as CJ came home we immediately started packing. We moved into CJ's parents house until our move and lived out of suit cases while all of our belonging where stored in my parents garage. It was nice to spend three weeks with them before we made our life changing move.

In the midst of all this CJ graduated from college and we had a huge party to celebrate. Which took a lot of planning. That plus moving we had so much going on (so much so that I actually put the wrong day for CJ graduation party and realized it 2 weeks after we sent them out!). My parents said they would be more than happy to help us move and drove down from Northern Georgia to help. Which was BEYOND helpful and so nice to spend a "hellish" week with my parents! On August 18th we left for Indiana. Thankfully my parents house is a half way point and we stayed there a couple of days before we drove to Indiana. Our dogs did so well but we could tell that staying at so many different places in a matter of a month took a toll and they where really confused.
We arrived in Indiana Friday August 21st with CJ start date at work to be August 31st. Originally we had planned to stay with friends for a couple months but after being in Indiana a couple hours we decided that we should look for our own place. And we where blessed to find one that afternoon and moved in that night.

Needless to say it has been a whirlwind last month. We moved five times (from our condo in FL, to CJ parents house, to my parents house in GA, to our friends in Indiana and finally to our apartment.). Getting settled and back to normal is something we are getting to. Patience is a virtue and I can't wait until everything is normal again.

Oh and in between all of this CJ FINALLY PROPOSED! It was extremely sweet how it happened. But that is for another post. But I am happy to report that I love my ring and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this man!
Stay tuned tomorrow and every week day for new post, giveaways and much more! Can't wait to share with you guys what's new and exciting! Also be sure to follow me on Snapchat (kyleeinheels), Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date on whats happening in real time! Until tomorrow!

Friday Five

[It almost went down the other night. CJ was at work.]
The binge watching of Game of Thrones continues. Like it's such an obsession in our house right now that we probably have eaten more pizza and take out more than usual. That's embarrassing! Even more embarrassing, I sometimes say 'Yes my Lord' to CJ when he asks for something. #nerdy. We are "planning" to go for burritos and a movie (Inside Out) tonight. But who knows, I may say screw it and continue to binge watch. Thank the God of Fire (it's from the show) we are on Season 4 Episode 4. Almost finished. 16 episodes to go until we are all caught up! AHHH!

What are your plans for this weekend?

[Mommy snuggles with this my little nugget Stella!]
[Shelf Cloud. Thanks for teaching me weather terminology Ginger Zee! High Fiving myself. ]
[Sunday Summer Cocktails!]
[Female Tiger Woods. Pre Elin Woods of course.]

Flower Power (Guest Outfit Post!)

*Please note that most of these links are similar to the actual pieces*
So over the weekend CJ's younger sister, Lexi, came into town for Father's Day weekend and even though we don't see her that often (she really only goes to school in Miami a whopping 2 hour drive from us) I asked her to do a outfit post! I'm totally jealous of her long blonde hair. Hair dye has NEVER touched that hair. Total Stylist dream!

I like to think that Lexi keeps me young in my fashion. She was 17 when CJ and I started dating and now at 21 her fashion has evolved. It's been a total treat to watch. From straight Hollister and Abercrombie with mid-drift tops to now I like to call it classy hippie chic. Now there has always been stages. Like when she lived in SC for a year and a half it was very preppy and when she studied abroad is Spain it was very dark clothing. As I said it was a total treat to watch.

This outfit she pick is absolutely adorable. The high waisted white shorts are very hip and young. Even though I could never wear them! The crop top style floral top is on trend and goes perfect with the high waisted short just in case your not feeling the total crop top, show your stomach type situation. And of course the perfect summer staple is Jack Rogers white sandals. Got to love them!

If you want to follow Lexi's adventures follow her on Instagram here! Her hair makes her basically  Rapunzel. UGH!

[Thanks for playing dress up with me this weekend Lex! xoxo]

Perfect All American Girl (4th of July Look!)

[ Top | Shorts | Shoes | Bag | Sunnies | Bracelets ( One and Two) | Lip

I love the 4th of July! It's one of my favorite holidays. Not only is it about America, it's about spending time with family, celebration and my favorite BBQ! This year CJ's mom is taking over the 4th of July festivities and it will be especially nice this year because my sister and her boyfriend will be sharing in the fun!

Lately I've been having a slight obsession with Lilly Pulitzer. So much that I am annoying the crap out of CJ, my sister Kelcy and CJ's sister Lexi! I bought this adorable top for Memorial Day in May and loved it so much that I thought I would wear it as my 4th of July BBQ outfit. Sundresses and shorts are always great for 4th of July BBQ's. I added some Jack Rogers to add a bit more preppiness!

Oh! Don't forget to enter my Happy Everything Giveaway! Because who doesn't love free stuff?

[PS! Sorry for the HUGE burn on my left (it looks like its on the right in the picture) shoulder. Basically the curling iron won.]

Happy Everything Agenda Review & GIVEAWAY!

I'm so excited about today's post! I've teamed up with Coton Colors to bring you an exclusive look at the their new Happy Everything 17 Month Planner! Ok, let me be honest. I am a total old fashion girl who loves the smell of paper and writing down your schedule. I feel like it sticks in my brain a lot better. I do still have a digital (iPhone) calendar. But I prefer the good ol' paper planners/calendars anyday.
The team over at Coton Colors was nice enough to send me over a beautiful new planner for a sneak peek. Man was I impressed! From the bright colors to the big lined days. This planner has it all and more. My favorite feature? The big blank pages that you can doodle on! I'm a firm believer in doodling and started doodling in probably 1998!
The Happy Everything Planner is all about being happy and celebrating life. I love the little celebration/inspirational quotes at the beginning of each month. It def makes you slow dawn and think about whats going on in your life and celebrate the happy things! Especially the Happy Notes, this little section literally makes you think and write down what makes you happy this week! Uh LOVE! I do wish the general month view of the calendar was a bit bigger to write a little bit more but it is still totally workable.
I really can't wait to until August to start using this planner! It is going to be devoted to you guys and blogging. Being organized and on top of things is something I have to do. And the Happy Everything Planner is for sure going to help me do that.

Interested in purchasing one? Just click on over to Coton Colors and pre-order this planner online! It's totally affordable too. You all know I'm all about a good deal and playing $36.00 for a planner vs. going to Office Depo or Staples and paying upwards of $55.00 + for one (I'm looking at you Martha Stewart!). It's also sold in stores! Click here to find a store near you that sells this little amazing slice of heaven!
Be sure to sign up for Coton Colors' Special Offers Emails! Who literally doesn't love discounts and special offers? If you don't then we probably shouldn't be friends! Haha!

Friday Five

[Dinner for CJ's Birthday!]
Wow this week went fast! I'm sure the weekend will go even faster. Plus I have tons to do with very little time to do it. Of course CJ discovered I need to go get new tires put on my car. Thankfully it isn't as expensive as my last car. So I will be spending my whole Saturday at Sears while CJ is volunteering. At least it will be at a mall so that I can wander around and get a spray tan at the tanning place across the street!

With all of this going on CJ and I need to start packing up our condo. Our lease is up at the end of July and will be moving into CJ's parents guest house for a short time. So we will also be sifting through things a giving things to non-profits that have resale shops etc. There is A LOT going on!

What are you doing this weekend?
 [Birthday Presents from CJ's Parents!]
[CJ decided Monday that we should start watching Game of Thrones. Great idea... Especially since it was finals week for him!]
[This was too cute not to share! I feel asleep watching Game of Thrones last night!]

New Monthly Series! Sloppy Kisses Corner

I love my dogs. If you know me personally then you know that CJ and I are obsessed with them. For those of you that don't know we have two dogs. Lord Bentley (aka The Beebs) is a 3 year old yorkie/maltese mix that we rescued from a pound and Stella Belle is a 2 year old yorkie/poodle we rescued. They give our life so much light and laughter.... and sometimes lots of yelling. But we love them and can't imagine life without them.

So I've decided that I would do a monthly series called Sloppy Kisses Corner and it would feature dog products (toys, beds and treats) and let you know what I thought about them and how The Beebs and Stella enjoy them etc! This will also be a super fun way to feature two of the three loves of my life. Let's get started!

Chewy.com was nice enough to send the kids (Yes we refer to them as the kids. My mom started this and it just stuck) treats by Merrick and a KONG Rope Squeezz. I am very familiar with the Merrick food line because my Mom feeds her dog (Kodie aka KoKo) Merrick dog food. I am always nervous about giving Stella treats because she has a tendency  to swallow them whole and chokes on them. This has happened more than once and I cry every time. So if we give her a treat and she chews it we will give her another if not she is done.

I am always a little skeptical of dog toys that boast they are indestructible. If you live in my house no dog toy is safe from The Beebs or Stella. We usually don't do rubber toys because of a chocking hazards (Stella) and Bentley will just eat it. Stella prefers the stuff-less or fluff-less toys. She likes the kind that my a crunching noise and basically chews holes in here toys.

Stella was less than thrilled with the KONG Rope Squeezz. She sniffed it and walked away. Bentley on the other hand LOVED it! I want to chuck the toy out the window at one point because he was sitting behind me in the kitchen squeaking it. The real test will be when we leave the house today. Bentley loves to destroy toys when we leave him at home. I think it's part of his anxiety he has. So we will see! Stay tuned to my Instagram for the result!

Sunnies: Splurge vs. Steal

I am loving sunglasses right now. CJ laughs at the amount of sunglasses I have. But I am always quick to point out that he has way more than myself because a friend of ours works at a high end sunglass shop and gets him discounts. Ky > CJ. For me, I can't see myself spending more that $25.00 on a pair of sunnies. I'm too rough on them or I loose them. My mom bought me a pair of Michael Kors Sunglasses for Christmas four years ago (I'm shocked I still have them) but the lenses are all scratched because I just fling them in my purse. That's when I realized that Amazon has great deals, if you do a bit if digging.

I've been buying "look a like" sunnies for two years now. To me it's like having the real thing without the price and if I loose them or damage them I don't feel so bad! With Summer almost here it's time to have some fashion on your face. But are you willing to pay the expensive retail? Or do you want a steal? Check out below!

What are your summer go to sunnies?
