Old Navy Spring and Summer Must-Haves

Old Navy and I have a love/hate relationship. I worked at Old Navy from the time I was 16 until I was 18. Don't get me wrong working at Old Navy taught me a lot about the retail world. But in terms of fashion it can be up or down. Last spring/summer was a down year from them. I don't really remember buying hardly anything from them. But fast forward to this spring/summer.... I AM DYING. They have been so on trend and on point I am loving it! I guess that new CEO of Gap Inc. is really working out!

The patterns, colors, styles, I literally can't get enough! A lot of my upcoming fashion post will have if not one but a whole outfit from Old Navy! So I have compiled a list of spring/summer must haves from Old Navy. Time to run out to your local store and shop to your little hearts content!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Maxi

On Monday I started to share my "Pink Sunday" adventure. Now on with the story!

The clock struck 8:00 AM and the doors to Target opened and I ran. Everything started to be in slow motion. I remember running right to the women's apparel section and started to grab. I knew I wanted to be extremely fair so I just grabbed the smalls in styles that I could and a size 4 in the shift dress. Sadly of the ENTIRE look book Target released, there where 8 piece of adult clothing from the "collection".

After scooping up what I could in women's I full out marathon sprinted to the home goods section. I was beyond happy to snag the expresso cup set. I wanted to grab another set of cups for my sister Kelcy, but again the limited quantity didn't allow me. Because there where only two expresso cup sets. After slowly catching my breath, I walked over to the beauty section and got the last three Lilly lip glosses. Then I did one last lap around the women's section and headed to check out.

Overall it was an interesting event that was over in a matter of seconds. Target did a great job of boosting up the hype. And from a PR/Marketing stand point you would of thought they would be prepared. I felt beyond guilty that people who where probably 8th in line probably didn't get anything. Target was so unprepared and made many women so upset. I only missed 3 things on my entire wish list. But I will not be supporting the eBay price gouging. Because Hunny, I can go to the real Lilly Store and buy a dress for the price of the Lilly for Target Shift dress!

Spring Trend Report: You're Making Me Blush!

Spring is now in full swing and summer is going to be blazing around the corner before you know it. One thing I do love about spring is the light pastel colors. My favorite this spring? The blush/light pink. I literally can't get enough of it. Every where I look is blush! I think once spring has sprung some legs and walks away and summer shows up that will be the end of blush until next year.

Whether it is a light romper or a adorable cross body bag, I am completely obsessed with this color. And I hope that this color is here to stay. It would totally break my heart if this was just a spring fling color! The innocence of this color is completely intoxicating. What are you thoughts on this blush color? Check out some of my favorites below!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Jumpsuit & 100th Post (AND GIVEAWAY)!

Yesterday was an amazing day. Target FINALLY released their Lilly Pulitzer for Target Line! It was like Christmas morning. I quickly (and quietly because CJ & Bentley where both sleeping and waking Beebs up is the worst thing every!) jumped out of bed, washed my face (screw makeup) got dressed and headed to my local Target.

I arrived at our local Target at 6:09 am to find NO ONE in line. I was the first. To say I was beyond excited is an understatement. I sat in my car until about 6:30 and walked to the front of the door and sat my butt on the ground. About 7:15 another girl came and sat next to me and it was nice to have a Lilly friend to talk to. By 7:45 there was about 50+ people behind me in line.

7:55 rolled around and I was on pins and needles. The manager (wearing one the the Lilly headbands I might add!) came out to speak to all of us and let us know that inventory was extremely low. My heart sank a little when she said this. She also informed us that there was one of each size per style. My heart sank a little lower. And there where no bathing suits. At 8:00 am the door open and I ran!

Stay tuned for the rest of the story later this week!!

Friday Five

[I never really post pictures of CJ, but we went on a hike this past weekend and I love this pic of him!]

Friday is everyone in America's favorite day of the week. Getting back in the grove this week has been great. I've also been adding some new workouts into my week. Off-season is almost over. Time to get my running back into gear and get more zen. Hopefully yoga will help with that. Spring cleaning is going to be in full force this weekend. Especially with our lease almost up. It's time to start getting rid of things. But have a great weekend ya'll! See you on Monday!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Wish List

If you grew up anywhere near West Palm Beach, Florida (for me it was 2 hours away) you knew who Lilly Pulitzer was. Back in the early days of Lilly it was something my Gigi would wear. It was bright colors and Muumuus. Fast forward to my sorority college days, there wasn't an early fall football game or sunny spring Carolina Cup day that the bright patterns of Lilly didn't invade my eye sight. I longed for a Lilly dress but could never afford one. CJ bought me my first Lilly dress a couple months ago. It is the most beautiful dress, green with pink flamingos all over. Classic Lilly.

Shortly after I got my dream dress, I read that Target was releasing a Lilly Pulitzer line. TARGET! I screamed like a little girl on Christmas morning. The first person I needed to notify? My sister Kelcy. After drooling over the look book a good twenty times I narrowed it down to a couple key pieces. So this is my Lilly for Target wish list! Will you be at Target 8:00 this Sunday? I know I will be... at 7:30 am!
Shop the entire look book by clicking here!

This is NOT a sponsored post by Target. I am just super excited that I can afford some new Lilly!

Sunny with a Side of Shade

Top (similar) | Jacket | Jeans | Purse | Shoes (similar) | Necklace | Bracelets | Sunnies

I love the title of this post. Picking blog post titles are the hardest part (I think) of being a blogger. But with this beautiful yellow dogwood tree and my navy top, it totally made sense to call it 'Sunny with a side of shade'. Sadly here in in SWFL these beautiful trees bloom for maybe a week out of the year, then with the extreme heat we get down here, it kills the yellow flowers. So since this shoot, the flowers are no more. But this particular afternoon, the wind was blowing so I wanted to wear this flowy top. I got this top for Christmas from CJ's mom. It is such a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. You can totally wear this in the summer or winter. Especially here in FL. Paired with a acid wash denim jacket and distressed white denim. A total dream come true.

March Top Three

We are already half way through April and I haven't even posted my March Favorites! In all honesty I have been cutting back on my make-up purchases. According to CJ I already have enough make-up.... I replied that no woman can ever have "enough" make-up. Silly boy. Let's jump right in and share my Top 3 March Favorites!

bareMinerals COMPLEXION RESCUE™ Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream - I have never been the type that uses a "light" foundation. With all the acne scaring on my face plus under skin cyst on my face (trust me I always have at least one) I tend to use a full coverage foundation. Lately I've just been telling myself to own it, scares and all. I LOVE this stuff. I use it on days I don't feel like doing the whole tado of make-up. It isn't a light coverage, it's more of a medium. Yet not full coverage if that make sense. CJ and I are going to Outer Banks in August with my brother and other family and this is going to be my go to makeup for the whole trip! So light weight and build-able.

eos Medicated Tangerine Lip Balm - I, like every other girl in America, LOVES eos Lip Balm balls. No joke, I have every flavor. I keep them in every purse I have and in my car. But my all time favorite eos is the orange one which is medicated tangerine. I swear by this stuff and it's my go to for morning before work and night before I go to bed. This bad boy stays in my bathroom drawer next to my toothpaste. I literally can't live without it. Side note, you won't find it at the checkout stand like most eos, you have to go to the medicine section of Target or Walmart to find it.

Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash - So I haven't purchased the full size version of this yet, but I've been using the sample size I got about a month ago. OMG I am obsessed with this mascara. When I started using this I was like Ehh it's ok. But once I added my CLINIQUE Lash Building Primer it completely changed. No falsies need and it looked like I had eyelash extensions. I've never been big into buying mascara thats over $10.00 but this completely changed my mind! Try it. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Pushing the Limit: Mixing Patterns

Top (similar) | Skirt | Shoes | Necklace (similar) | Earrings | Watch | Sunnies | Purse (similar) | Lips

So I have been a little MIA. And the worst part is I totally don't have an excuse. I just got really behind on posts! But I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and you had time to reflect and spend time with your family. CJ and I did Easter on Saturday with my parents and then did Easter on Sunday with his family.

Now the Spring is in full swing... Awe I rhymed! I like to play with colors and patterns during the spring time. The fun part about fashion, at least for me, is pushing the limit. This t-shirt I got on sale at Piperlime in January. Pale pink/blush color is such a beautiful trend right now. I am completely loving it. When CJ was photographing me he wasn't too sure about this outfit but it photographed so well! This is one of my new favs. Can't wait to wear it again.

Well she was precious, like a flower She grew wild, wild but innocent

Top: Gap (similar here) | Skirt: Gap (similar here) | Headband: Target | Shoes: Gap (similar here)
Purse: Michael Kors | Necklace: DSW | Sunnies: Michael Kors
Earrings: Chloe & Isabel | Bracelets: Alex and Ani

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!! I've been in a flower child type of mood lately. Being into the hippie style has never really my thing. But I do love me a good white linen pant paired with a white flowing top and cork heels...I guess its more resort then hippie chic. But gaze anything is a must for my summer wardrobe. I just love this seed bead necklace I got from DSW and that basically formed this whole outfit.

Last season I was obsessed with seed bead necklaces. I literally think I wore this on my cruise last June the whole time. This is such a casual outfit to wear to the farmers market. This hairstyle was so easy too! Let me know in the comments below if you would like me to do a tutorial on this hair style!
